Bouwfonds is an international property company with three core activities: property development, property financing and asset management. Bouwfonds operates on the private and commercial markets, and is one of the largest property companies in the Netherlands. We focus on the Benelux countries, Germany, France, Spain and Scandinavia.

Bouwfonds made a net profit of EUR 314 million in 2005 with a balance sheet total of EUR 43.5 billion.

Bouwfonds currently operates from over 44 offices in seven countries with some 1,700 employees; over 450 of them work abroad.

On July 31 of this year ABN AMRO announced that it has reached agreement with Rabobank about the sale of Bouwfonds, with the exception of Bouwfonds Property Finance, and that it has signed a letter of intent with SNS REAAL about the sale of Bouwfonds Property Finance.
