Project Day 2007

On Friday the 20th of April FRESH organized in cooperation with DTZ Zadelhoff their second DTZ Project day at the office of DTZ Zadelhoff at the Jachthavenweg 130 in Amsterdam. The day began at noon with a well looked after lunch at the office of DTZ, giving the student the possibility to meet each other and the employees of DTZ.

At 13.00 hours Olga Patist officially opened the Project Day with a short outline of the day. She then gave the word to Gert-Jan Alberts, who described the real estate market in a very interesting way and told us something about his career at DTZ.

 

Then followed a very enthusiastic presentation of Bas Wilbert, who was at that time finalizing his traineeship at DTZ. Because of other obligations of Marrit Laning the discipline Research was dropped out of the ‘specialist carrousel’. She gave a short presentation instead. The case Marrit Laning described gave the students a better picture what working at an research department is all about.
After her presentation the participants were divided in groups of four to five students and where able to get to know four different divisions of DTZ. These divisions were Corporate Real Estate Services, Brokerage, Investments and Valuations. Every discipline was represented by an employee of DTZ among some trainees. They gave a short presentation of their division and the students had time to ask some questions.

 

After a short break Olga Patist, Head of the Human Research department gave a presentation about the different career possibilities for students at DTZ Zadelhoff. DTZ offers a traineeship of one year. It became clear that DTZ was very actively searching for capable students for this traineeship.

After thanking DTZ for making the day possible, the students were offered an informal drink at the roof terrace of the building. Not only the participants, but also some employees attended the drink which gave the students the opportunity to meet the DTZ professionals and talk-over the interesting day. Mister DTZ himself Cor van Zadelhoff gave a short speech at the start of the drink which was very nice.
We can look back at a very successful second Project Day at DTZ and would like to thank once again all the DTZ professionals who made this day possible and gave us some insights in this global real estate company.
