Project Day 2007

 

On Friday the 25th of May, 22 enthusiastic FRESH students attended the Project Day at Achmea Vastgoed. At 11:45 everyone was welcomed on the 11th floor of the Zuidtoren in Hoofddorp. After everybody arrived Dick van Hal, managing director of Achmea Vastgoed kicked off the day at 12:15 and welcomed all students. He had a very impressive introduction about Achmea Vastgoed in general. At the end of the presentation there was plenty of room for questions.

After the presentation it was time for an extensive lunch for the students as well as the staff of Achmea Vastgoed. There was enough time for the students to mingle with the staff and have an informal conversation.

After this lunch it was time again to get back to work. This time it was up to Maurice Rijntjes, Hugo Ouwehand and Frank Pickkers to present their VendexKBB case. An interesting aspect of this presentation was that all three presenters actually had a roll in the case. This way they could present us all aspects of the case, this included the negotiations, financial and legal aspects.

It was now time for a short break to be followed by an interactive case. This case was presented by Bas Tiemstra and Daan Schrama. The students where given the assignment to asses an real estate portfolio and give their opinion about each individual object. In the end each group of students had to present their assessment of the portfolio.
We ended the Project Day with an informal drink for all participants and Achmea Vastgoed staff. In total we can conclude that this Project Day was a great success. We would like to thank all employees and participants for making this day possible.
